Fresh this week. Last restocked Apr 18.
Texas Sage (Leucophyllum frutescens), also called Cenizo or Purple Sage, is a drought-tolerant evergreen shrub native to the Chihuahuan Desert of Texas and Mexico. It is covered in silvery-gray foliage and produces a flush of lavender-purple tubular blooms triggered by high humidity or rainfall. Widely planted in xeriscape and Southwestern-style landscapes for its silvery texture and striking bloom displays. Starting at $14.95.

Bloom season. Ideal planting window.
Retains foliage through winter.
Requires full sun — at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily; shaded sites cause sparse blooming and weak, leggy growth.
Highly drought tolerant once established; water sparingly and allow soil to dry between waterings — overwatering reduces bloom frequency and promotes root rot in Florida's sandy soils.
Grows in any well-drained soil, including NE Florida's sandy and alkaline soils; avoid fertilizing and over-amending, as lean soil produces the best silvery foliage and most abundant blooms.
