Fresh this week. Last restocked Mar 11.
Scrub mint (Conradina canescens) is a compact aromatic native shrub endemic to the sandy scrub habitats of Florida and Alabama, with needle-like, gray-green foliage and delicate lavender to pale pink flowers that attract native pollinators. It is a member of the mint family (Lamiaceae) and one of several rare Conradina species found in Florida's imperiled scrub ecosystem. Starting at $14.95.

Bloom season. Handles summer heat well once established.
Ideal planting window.
Retains foliage through winter. Can be planted in mild winter periods.
Scrub mint demands full sun — a minimum of 6–8 hours daily in NE Florida. Reduced sunlight causes sparse flowering and open, leggy growth. Site in the sunniest spot available.
Extremely drought tolerant once established; treat it like rosemary and avoid 'wet feet.' In NE Florida's sandy soils, water only during establishment and prolonged dry spells. Overwatering or poor drainage is the most common cause of plant loss.
Requires very well-drained, infertile sandy soil — the leaner the better. Do not amend with organic matter or apply fertilizer; rich or moisture-retentive soils promote root rot. Slightly acidic to neutral pH (6.0–7.0) is ideal.
