Plant in full sun for best bloom production. Lantana involucrata tolerates light shade but flowers most heavily and maintains a denser habit in a site receiving 6 or more hours of direct sun daily.

Highly drought tolerant once established; deep, infrequent watering is far preferable to frequent shallow irrigation. In NE Florida, rainfall is typically sufficient; supplemental watering is needed only during extended dry periods.

Thrives in poor, dry, well-drained sandy soils typical of NE Florida. Little to no fertilizer is needed — excessive nutrients produce leggy growth at the expense of flowers. Periodic pruning keeps the shrub dense and productive.
