Retains foliage through winter.
Plant Blue Daze in full sun — it requires at least 6 hours of direct sunlight for prolific flowering. In NE Florida, full sun is ideal; shade significantly reduces bloom production. Flowers close at night and on cloudy days.
Water moderately; Blue Daze is drought tolerant once established and is well-suited to NE Florida's sandy soils. Avoid overwatering or soggy conditions. During dry spells, supplemental irrigation will help maintain consistent bloom.
Grows well in NE Florida's sandy, well-drained soils with little amendment needed. Apply a balanced slow-release fertilizer in spring and mid-summer to support continuous bloom through the warm season. Excellent drainage is essential.
