Lady Banks Rose (Rosa banksiae) is a nearly thornless climbing rose from China, producing a spectacular flush of small, densely clustered yellow or white flowers in early spring. One of the most vigorous of climbing roses, it has fine-textured evergreen foliage and can spread extensively over arbors and walls.

Drought-tolerant once established; water regularly during the first season to establish. After establishment, supplemental irrigation is rarely needed in NE Florida except during extended dry periods.
Tolerates a wide range of well-drained soils including sandy soils common in NE Florida. Fertilize twice yearly with a slow-release rose fertilizer. Lady Banks is nearly thornless, disease-resistant, and blooms prolifically in spring — one of the best-performing climbing roses for Florida.
