Fresh this week. Last restocked Jun 15.
Red Buckeye (Aesculus pavia) is a native deciduous shrub or small tree of the southeastern United States, bearing showy upright clusters of tubular red flowers in spring that are a prime nectar source for hummingbirds. Its bold, palmately compound leaves and attractive form make it a sought-after native plant for woodland garden settings. Starting at $9.95.

Active growing season.
Foliage may begin to change or drop. Ideal planting window.
Dormant — drops foliage. Can be planted in mild winter periods.
Plant in full sun to partial shade; in NE Florida's intense heat, a site with morning sun and afternoon shade is ideal and improves flower longevity. Avoid deep shade, which reduces blooming.
Water regularly during the first year to establish deep roots. Once established, Red Buckeye prefers consistently moist, well-drained soil and is not drought-tolerant; supplement irrigation during dry periods.
Thrives in moist, well-drained sandy or loamy acidic soils — NE Florida's native sandy soils are suitable. Amend with compost at planting. Light annual fertilization in spring with a balanced slow-release fertilizer is sufficient.
