Fresh this week. Last restocked Mar 11.
Swamp Rosemallow (Hibiscus grandiflorus) is a native Florida perennial producing some of the largest flowers in the genus — enormous pale pink to white blooms with a deep crimson eye, borne on tall, robust stems. It is native to swamps and wet flatwoods across the Southeast and is spectacular in bloom. Starting at $7.95.

Swamp Rosemallow requires full sun — at least 6 hours of direct sun per day — to produce its spectacular blooms in NE Florida. Insufficient light results in reduced flowering and weak stems that may need staking.
Thrives in wet to moist soil; it is native to swamps and wet flatwoods. Plant in rain gardens, pond margins, or low spots that retain moisture. In drier sandy soils, water deeply and frequently; it will wilt dramatically under drought stress.
Prefers moist, fertile loam or clay; tolerates wet and semi-aquatic conditions. Amend sandy NE Florida soils with generous compost. Apply a balanced slow-release fertilizer in spring as new growth emerges; top-dress with compost annually to maintain soil moisture and fertility.
