Bloom season. Retains foliage through winter. May need protection below 25°F.
Provide bright indirect light or filtered shade indoors; avoid direct Florida sun which will scorch leaves. A north- or east-facing window or a shaded lanai is ideal in NE Florida.
Unlike most orchids, Phalaenopsis prefers to stay evenly moist—water thoroughly when the top of the bark mix begins to dry, roughly weekly. Never let roots sit in standing water; always use a pot with drainage holes.
Pot in a loose, well-aerated orchid bark mix; repot every 2 years as bark breaks down. Feed weakly weekly with a balanced orchid fertilizer diluted to quarter strength; flush the pot monthly to prevent salt buildup.
