Bird of Paradise (Strelitzia reginae) is a South African perennial with large, paddle-shaped blue-green leaves and iconic orange and deep blue flowers that emerge from a boat-shaped spathe, resembling an exotic bird in flight. It forms bold, evergreen clumps and is one of the most recognizable ornamental plants in tropical and subtropical gardens.
