Fresh this week. Last restocked Jun 25.
Impatiens (Impatiens walleriana) is a popular shade annual in NE Florida, used as a cool-season bedding plant from fall through spring when heat and humidity are reduced. It produces continuous bright blooms in red, pink, orange, white, and coral. Note: downy mildew-resistant cultivars or SunPatiens hybrids are strongly preferred over standard varieties. Starting at $6.95.

Retains foliage through winter.
Grow in part shade to full shade in NE Florida — morning sun with afternoon shade is ideal. Direct afternoon sun in summer causes rapid wilting and decline. Best used under canopy trees or on north-facing exposures.
Keep soil consistently moist; impatiens wilt quickly under drought or heat stress. Water at the base rather than overhead to minimize downy mildew risk. During NE Florida's cool season (Oct–Apr), reduce frequency as growth slows.
Plant in moist, well-drained soil amended with compost. Apply a balanced slow-release fertilizer monthly during the cool-season growing period for best bloom performance.
