Nephrolepis obliterata
Fresh this week. Last restocked Mar 11.
Nephrolepis obliterata, Kimberly Queen fern, is an Australian native with upright, sword-like fronds of a rich, deep green, forming a compact and tidy vase-shaped clump. Unlike the more sprawling Boston fern, its erect habit and greater tolerance for outdoor conditions make it a popular choice for porch planters and landscape beds in warm climates. Starting at $6.95.

Retains foliage through winter.
Kimberly Queen fern performs best in bright indirect light to part shade in NE Florida. Its upright habit allows it to tolerate more sun than Boston fern, but protect from intense afternoon sun which bleaches and burns fronds.
Water regularly to maintain consistently moist (not waterlogged) soil. In NE Florida's sandy landscape beds, mulch heavily to retain moisture; reduce watering during cooler months but never allow to dry out completely.
Grow in moist, organically rich, well-drained soil (pH 5.5–6.5). Fertilize with a balanced slow-release fertilizer in spring and again in summer; ferns in containers benefit from monthly liquid feeding during the growing season.
