Fresh this week. Last restocked Jun 15.
Sedum (Sedum sp.) is a diverse genus of succulent perennials found across the Northern Hemisphere, ranging from low, mat-forming ground covers to upright border plants, with fleshy leaves in a wide array of shapes, sizes, and colors. Many species produce dense, flat-topped clusters of small star-shaped flowers in pink, red, yellow, or white that are highly attractive to butterflies and bees. Many former sedum species are now reclassified under Hylotelephium or Phedimus, but Sedum remains the widely used trade name. Starting at $6.95.

Bloom season.
Retains foliage through winter.
Sedums thrive in full sun but benefit from afternoon shade in Northeast Florida's intense summer heat to prevent scorching and stress.
Water sparingly — allow soil to dry completely between waterings. In Florida's rainy season, excellent drainage is critical; container growing in terra cotta with a gritty mix is recommended to prevent root rot.
Requires sandy or gritty, well-drained soil of low to average fertility; amend with coarse sand or perlite. Fertilize lightly once in spring with a dilute balanced fertilizer — rich soil causes weak, floppy growth.
