Delphinium is a cool-season annual in Northeast Florida (Zone 9b), grown for its tall spikes of intensely colored flowers in blue, purple, pink, and white from late winter through spring. Plant in fall for best results and remove when summer heat sets in; it cannot withstand Florida's heat and humidity and is not hardy in Zone 9b.
