Actaea
Fresh this week. Last restocked Jun 15.
Baneberry (Actaea spp.) is a shade-loving, cool-temperate woodland perennial (zones 3–8) bearing delicate white flowers and ornamental clusters of red or white berries — all parts are toxic. It is not suitable for NE Florida's zone 9b climate and is included here for reference only. Starting at $24.95.
Baneberry requires part to full shade and is not suitable for NE Florida zone 9b landscapes; it is a cool-temperate woodland plant (zones 3–8) that cannot tolerate the region's summer heat and humidity.
In its native habitat, Baneberry prefers consistently moist, woodland soil; however, this plant is NOT recommended for NE Florida zone 9b — heat stress and warm winters prevent successful cultivation here.
Baneberry grows in rich, humus-laden, moist forest soils in zones 3–8. It is not suited for zone 9b Florida and should not be stocked for NE Florida customers.
